Dell Ethernet Controller Driver Windows Xp
If you used a CD to do the reinstall, particularly if it said 'Microsoft' on it rather than 'Dell,' you didn't use the hidden partition (which is used to restore the computer to its 'fresh from the factory' state, including all of the drivers as well as all of the pre-installed software). The way you did it, the only thing on the computer is Windows -- you'll have to reinstall all of the applications you want from their own installation downloads or media.

Wireless Network driver for the Dell XPS M1330. Download the. Mar 24, 2011 - Can anyone please instruct me in the easiest way to install the network drivers for Windows XP, so I can connect to net? Thanks to Dell support.
I have a Dell Latitude D530, with Windows XP Professional SP3 installed, on which I can't get the Ethernet Controller working. The wireless network connection works fine. About Ethernet Driver: Windows platforms generally apply a generic driver that allows motherboards to recognize the Ethernet component. However, in order to make use of all network card (adapter) features, you must install a proper LAN driver that enables the hardware. DriverAssist supported for Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.1/8 and Windows 10 in 32bit or 64bit Windows Operation System. DriverAssist is highly recommended for updating all Dell Ethernet drivers, you can download DriverAssist by click this. DriverAssist automatically updates. Obtaining the driver type is significant in trying to acquire the precise revised dell latitude d600 ethernet controller drivers. Regrettably this can't be completed by utilizing windows device manager because the details offered there is often out-of-date itself.
If you still can't find the service tag, the download page for the Latitude D600 is here --> http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/latitude-d600
You should look at each of the entries to see whether it is something you need or want, but the following is my best estimate of the first 8 items in the list in my earlier post:
1. Notebook System Software (NSS) -- the second from the top in the 'System Utilities' category, release date6/13/2007 version 5.1.0, A25
2. Chipset -- 'Intel-Driver' in the 'Chipset' category. You'll probably also need the other driver (O2Micro) if you use PCMCIA cards.
3. Video Adapter -- 'ATI-Driver' in the 'Video' category
4. Network Interface Card(NIC) -- This one is more difficult because of the number of downloads in this category. Most of them are for wireless adapters (and you can see that Dell used different wireless adapters in different configurations of the D600). For your wired (Ethernet) adapter, the file to use seems to be the 'Broadcom - Driver' for the Broadcom 570X W2K/XP Gigabit Ethernet adapter. Confirm by looking in Device Manager that this is in fact the hardware that's installed in your laptop. I don't think you need the other Broadcom-related downloads.
5. AudioAdapter -- Easy, there's only one download in the 'Audio' section.
6. Modem -- If you have a modem (and not all configurations of the D600 will have one), confirm from Device Manager that it's aD480 MDC V.92 Modem and download the 'Conexant-Driver' in the 'Communications' category. You might want the diagnostic utility and the HTML manuals as well.
7. Wireless Network Card -- If you have a wireless network adapter, you'll have to figure out which one you have by looking in Device Manager. This is an instance where having the Service Tag would be a help, because that should automatically narrow the offerings to the downloads for your specific hardware.
8. Touchpad, Pointer, Trackstick, Mice, and Keyboards -- The only thing that looks remotely like this for the D600 is in the 'Input' category, a driver forthe touchpad.
If the Windows CD you used did not include service pack 3, use whichever of the following is applicable (XP 'Gold' means no service pack) (both sets of instructions from MS MVP PA Bear; the Google Groups link is the post from which the directions were copied):

You also should download an installer for whatever antivirus application you intend to use on the laptop and install it before connecting the laptop to the Internet. If you're unsure, use Microsoft Security Essentials while you investigate other options (you want the x86 download.
