MSI z270 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard has no network adapter

New build, here's my specs:

i7 7700k MSI GTX1070 MSI z270 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard Samsung SSD Old PSU Corsair 16gb 3000 MHz RAM

Build went great, booted up perfectly fine, temps sitting normal.

Installed windows 10 from a bootable disk I just made from a slightly out dated Win 10 ISO, got into the desktop, and had no ethernet connection.

I work IT, so i checked the obvious: Ethernet plugged in, link lights on, BIOS says it has a network adapter, cable OK. Checked the device manager and NO network devices found. Had to download and install drivers for an old wifi dongle i had laying around just to get internet.

I have no CD drive so the MSI driver cd is useless to me, so i went to the website and downloaded all the drivers. They all ran fine, but the Intel Network Adapter driver fails out with a 'No network adapter found' error.

Almost at my wits end, and DEFINITELY dont want to RMA this Mobo after putting it all together.

Has anybody run into this issue yet? Googling turns up little results, some people suggesting the same 'Download the drivers' answer.
