If your business computers uses Cisco Linksys Wireless-G adapters to connect to the company network, you will need to manually check for and add updated versions of the drivers on a regular basis. By keeping the Wireless-G adapter drivers up-to-date, you can be assured that any existing driver bugs will be fixed and that the wireless connection for each computer will remain strong. You can download the most recent drivers for your specific adapter model directly from the Cisco Linksys Support Web page.

Visit the Cisco Linksys Support Web page (link in Resources) and type your Wireless-G adapter's model number into the 'Enter model or keyword' search box. Click on the model number when it appears in a drop-down menu to visit its support page.

Windows 7 VM has no network adapters in Windows 10 Hyper-V VM, and thus no network connection

EDIT: I found a solution, thanks to a link someone posted in this thread. Please see my 'SOLUTION' comment for notes.

I have a fresh 64-bit Windows 10 Pro install with Hyper-V enabled. I created a new VM and installed 32-bit Windows 7 SP-1 in it. The Win7 virtual machine doesn't have any network connectivity, and when I look in its Device Manager control panel, there aren't any network adapters listed (although there are two 'Unknown Device' items listed).

Here's everything I've tried:

• When I first created the VM I didn't know about the virtual switches, so it was created as 'no connection' or 'not connected.'

• Once I learned about the switches, I created one and set up the VM to use it- however there has been no change. No network adapters show up, and I don't have a connection.

• My initial network adapter (my computer's actual network connection) on the host PC was a Linksys PCIe Wi-Fi adapter. I read that some people had trouble using Wi-Fi adapters for Virtual Switches so I disabled the Linksys and connected a Netgear wireless bridge to one of my PC's Ethernet ports. The network connection works fine, and I created a new virtual switch bound to that adapter. Unfortunately, after assigning THIS switch to the Win7 VM there was still no change.

• I have read in different places that you need to install Integration Services in order to use the network adapters, however the instructions I've seen on how to do this tell me to use the 'Insert Integration Services Setup Disk' option on the Action menu of my VM, but no such menu item exists.

• I've also seen people mention an ISO file that you're supposed to be able to mount to install the services, but I haven't found such a file.

Am I missing something really obvious here?

(Also, I'm not trying to do anything fancy here. I'm an independent software developer, and I just want to be able to test my programs on a bunch of different Windows flavors- but I need Internet access inside my VMs to test certain features.)
