Can I Download Apps To My Sd Card

Onto

I have been trying to download installed apps to my SD card but it does not work on my Samsung galaxy ace. Someone please help cause i am frustrated and ready to pelt this new phone that have limited internal memory.

Use Sd Card For Apps

  1. Use Clean Master app which will notify you any installed app to be moved to SD card.(if app supports it).

  2. Not sure what you're trying to do here: 'Downloading' an app to the SD card will put an .APK file in a folder on the card without installing it; on the other hand, it sounds like you're trying to INSTALL the app to the SD card, which means either using an app like 'Move to SD' to put the installed app on the SD card (freeing up internal storage); if you have Gingerbread (Android 2.3.x) or higher, you don't need an additional app; it's as easy as going to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> On SD Card -> tap any app that isn't checked -> tap Move to USB Storage (sic) (Some apps can't be run except from main storage, such as Google's Apps, which reside in protected storage). Once all apps that can be moved to the SD Card are moved, you'll have much more space on main storage.
If, on the other hand, you're trying to download .APK files for backup or later installation, you'll have to look in your browser's Help, or, when you tap the download link, choose Download rather than Install.

  3. If you have root access, the answer to your troubles is Link2SD ( http://www.link2sd.info ). All you need is to create a second partition on your regular SD card (using your PC), so the primary partition is where you put your music, photos and more, and the secondary partition is linked by Link2SD to act as part of the internal memory (even so, you must manage your apps from Link2SD to move them from the internal memory to the secondary partition)

  4. I use an app called 'Move to SD' which does the job well.

  5. Here is one way (so I read) but be careful!

another way would be to install the app then move it to the SD with an app manager of which there are many to choose from.
